VIVIDH International Residential School is a co-educational Day cum Residential and Weekly boarding school located in Mettupalayam Taluk, Coimbatore District in Tamil Nadu, affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) for the ICSE examination (Std X). (Affiliation No. TN113). The classes start from Pre-School to Grade 10.

Pre-School Curriculum

To make difference in the lives of children by providing a structural and stimulating environment, VIVIDH follows the Whystles, a UK based Pre – school curriculum, which focuses on 6 developmental domains.

We are committed to follow pedagogy to make more experiential learning,
holistic,integrated (theme based) inquiry driven,discovery oriented, learner
centered, discussion based,flexible and more enjoyable.Our curriculum is well designed and includes basic arts,crafts,humanities, games, sports and fitness, languages, literature, culture and values in addition to Mathematics and Science. As per the ICSE curriculum, the school follows the pattern of teaching by conducting continuous assessment test and progressive tests followed by a comprehensive parent teacher interaction.

Digitalization and globalization are converging today to redefine school
education. From G4 to G7, all the students are provided with a learning tab to enhance their classroom learning. In addition, the teacher’s approach shifts from “I am here to teach” to “I am here to lead”.

Managing Trustee & Correspondent

Mrs. Kavitha Nandakumar M. A., B.Ed.,

The founder trustee Mrs. Kavitha Nandakumar, an educationist with over 2 decades of experience, spearheads this dream project, and is supported by well-educated trustees and board of advisors. The school’s name ‘VIVIDH’ means ‘MULTIFARIOUS’ and is a combination of VISHWA VIDHYA which represents ‘World-wide knowledge’.

She is a principal by profession and an educationist by passion, who strongly believes in rekindling education through revolutionary methods. She is influenced by her knowledge and experience accumulated over the past two decades, from the educational field.

A Science graduate from Bharathiar University, she has completed her B.Ed. and Masters in English Literature. She is qualified with TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test, Cambridge), an internationally recognized course from British Council. She started her career as a primary teacher, and was gradually promoted to handle Senior Secondary students and teacher trainer.

Her association with the British Council continued with collaborations on project implementation in schools across the world, gaining the International School Award for several schools under her guidance. Through the Connecting Classrooms program, she has a well-established school network across the world.

Being an educator, she has a deep abiding faith in practical idealism. Her in-depth understanding of the IGCSE curriculum, is attributed to her Cambridge trainers. She revels the opportunity to upgrade her knowledge on the prevailing changes in pedagogy and teaching practices, through her teacher trainings and workshops. She also has shared various views and opinions about education on Leaderboard topics which has got published in “The Hindu”school edition.

Dr. K. Rathnasabapathi M.A., B.Ed., M.Phil., Ph.D

He is the Associate Professor and Head of the Department of English, at PSG College of Arts & Sciences (PSGCAS), Coimbatore. He has over 31 years of teaching experience and has to his credit, 3 books published on the English Language and Communication. These books have been prescribed as textbooks at PSGCAS.

Distilling his knowledge of the English Language, he has produced material which can bolster the Oral Communication Skills of students around the world, through classroom teachings and/or e-learning modules. This material can address the specific needs of the students appearing for the IELTS and TOEFL Exams.

He has shared his thoughts on Communication through 300 special lectures. These have been delivered in Universities, Colleges (Engineering, art and sciences, polytechnic), Professional Bodies like ELTAI- Mani School and Sarvajana and Schools in Coimbatore and neighboring districts of Erode, Tiruppur. He has conducted more than 25 workshops and 20 faculty development programs for students and senior staff.

He has introduced several innovative changes into the structure, content and functioning of the courses at PSGCAS, in the form of a Diploma for English Language Teaching and the establishment of a Language Laboratory to name a few. He has guided several students for their M.Phil. and Ph.D. research.

Mr. K.E. Harish M.A., M.Phil., M.B.A.

He is an educational management expert and an International Human Resource Trainer who has been in the forefront of educational management for many years. He holds an M.Phil. in Education, M.B.A in Human Resource Management, First Rank in BA Political Science (University of Calicut) and a PG in Political Science. He is a well-known name in the educational field and is associated with some of the best schools in Malabar.

He is currently the CEO of the Sadhbhavana Group which includes the Sadhbhavana World School and Sadhbhavana Little Scholars. He is the President of the School Management Committee of the Dayapuram Residential School and the Territory head of the Kerala Chapter of Early Childhood Association, India. He is also the CEO of Green Leaf Management Services, an educational consultancy service firm.

He believes that a school serves the children and young adults to unfold their capacities, which make them uniquely human. In other words, the purpose of a progressive education is to reflect on human life and social relationships.

He is a visionary who has set up a school, embodying the principles of progressive education, functioning with well thought out systems and processes. A review and feedback system drives the improvement of existing systems and incorporation of best practices, concerned with quality schooling.

Mr. G. Senthilkumar

He is a graduate in Social work, from PSG college of Arts and Science (PSGCAS), pursuing his Ph.D. (Need for school social worker in school system) from Bharathiar University. He is also the member of the Board of Studies in Social Work in PSGCAS.

He is a Certified Psychometric Assessor on 16 psychological assessment tools from Mumbai; a Certified National Trainer for Entrepreneur Development Program from NIESBUD, New Delhi. He is a specialist in Learning disability and holds multi-disciplinary teaching methods certificated from University of Kansas, USA and Israel. He is a school accreditation assessor, from QCI & NABET (Nation Accreditation Board for Education and Training, New Delhi).

He has over 15 years of experience in the Training and Counselling field and has mentored both gifted children and individuals with low self-confidence, to lead fulfilling lives. He is a pioneer who started HELIKX, an educational institution to help children with specific learning difficulties and learning disabilities in Salem district. The institution also has an Open School and Learning Centre and a Training institute.

He is a Special Resource Group Committee member giving inputs to the TamilNadu Government on Specific Learning Difficulties. He is a resource person and consultant to educational organizations and business enterprises, offering knowledge on Behaviour Management and Psychometric tools.

He has conducted State and National Level conferences on Education and won the GOLDEN EDUCATION AWARD from International Institute of Education and Management for outstanding Achievement in Educational field of activities in 2012-13.

Mr Senthilkumar trains the teachers to help children with specific learning difficulties and disabilities at VIVIDH.

Ms. Viola Krishnamani

She is the CEO of Scholarius Educational Services, an organization that offers a varied range of solutions (curriculum support, professional development, evaluation protocols) to schools & educational institutions.

She has worked extensively with international and national boards of education and is on the advisory board of several schools. She is currently an authorized representative of Edexcel, UK and an Inspector of international examinations such as IGCSE and A levels. She was the Master Trainer at the Centre for Assessment Evaluation and Research (CAER).

Her expertise in Teacher Training and Curriculum Support, has given her the required knowledge and expertise to guide various educational-solutions providers, in the capacity of a Consultant-Advisor. BrainSTARS, Bangalore, Everest Edusys, Chennai, Helen O’Grady International Drama Academy, Tamil Nadu etc. are some of the beneficiaries of her guidance.

She contributes significantly to CRETT – a joint initiative of the Government of Kerala and the Sadhbhavana Group of institutions, Calicut, which focuses on imparting employability-skills to teachers. She has helped conceptualize a rigorous 300-hour course for them.

She is now an International Standards Verifier with Pearson Edexcel, UK – a qualifications awarding body that offers professional development programs, worldwide. Her role involves the audit and verification of work done by both students as well as assessors leading to certification.

Learner engagement, EDM (Education Data Mining), Assessment protocols and International curriculum basics are some of the topics that she has been researching on. And her findings have been published in two reputed international journals. She is associated as a Mentor with VIVIDH.

R. Kesava Murthi B.E.,PGDPM (IIM Calcutta)

A management consultant who has a vast experience in technical field as follows;

Sr.Research executive in a marketing research organisation viz Masers P.Ltd Calcutta and Delhi.

Joint managing director of M/s.Skans jay biotech p.ltd, Coimbatore. Executed Papain Enzyme Project from scratch till commercial production and marketing.

Practicing consultant in the areas of market research, diversification studies, techno economic feasibility studies and training. conducted more than 100 assignments in the above areas for about 50 clients spread throughout India and other countries.

Clients served are EID parry I ltd, HPCL, BPCL, sugar corporation of UGANDA limited, Tanstia FNF service centre, Punjab National Bank, Rubfila international limited Texmo Industries, Tata Infomedia, etc

Nalini J Ranganathan - Educational Consultant & Trustee

A Mathematics major person driven by commitment and passion, Mrs Nalini Ranganathan has got herself trained at “Modern Montessori International London” (and secured Diploma in Modern Montessori), “Speech and Drama” at GIG Education centre (Singapore) and The Teacher Developer (University of Cambridge International Examinations, London College of Teachers). These trainings and the hands-on working experience at a Montessori School and at “I CAN READ” (Australian Phonology system) Enrichment Centre in Singapore has equipped herself to inspire and kindle the learning quest in early childhood and primary level students.

Besides, being a seasoned dynamic educationist, she is greatly immersed herself in related skill development programmes as well. She has demonstrated herself as an efficient teacher in motivating students to learn with interest, to be systematic and to produce high quality work. Her innovative approach has received recognition with parents. She was appreciated by parents as an effective teacher in observing student’s progress and identifying individual’s need for improvement and has been awarded as an outstanding Mathematics teacher as well.

Moreover, with her potential capabilities and abilities she has contributed fairly well her time, resources and ideas when it comes to the development of Student’s education.
